Prison State

Hello all!

Thanks for taking the time to read this! Today I have something really cool to share with you all: the release of my new book! Now, this book isn't The Arrival (more on that later), but it is still pretty cool. It's called Prison State, the first in a new series. Now, you may be asking yourself, "Hey! What the heck?! Why are you writing this instead of The Arrival! I don't wanna read this!" and to that I'd say "Stop yelling! I wrote Prison State earlier this year before I published The Invaders! So it was already written and edited, I just had to make the cover for it!"

So that's the story. Do you wanna know what the story literally is? Well then, here's the blurb!:

On the planet Utoki, crime is virtually non-existent. That’s because if someone commits a crime, no matter how small, them and their immediate family are sent to The Prison.

The Prison is where all criminals are sent to spend the rest of their lives. There are no rules, and no way to escape. The only way to shorten your sentence is to die. Disease, radiation, and starvation are only some of the things that will kill you. The War of the Innocent, however, is the main threat.

When Max is sent to The Prison, he just wants to survive. But when he is attacked by a girl who thinks he's "The One", he's forced to question everything about his life, and choose whether or not to run from destiny.

Raven is a survivor. Having been in The Prison for as long as she remembers, she’s one of the few people who have come to call The Prison “home”. Daughter of the leader of the Innocent, she’s a powerful figure in The Prison. But when she discovers that the stories she was told as a child of the lost city of Destiny—and the monsters inside—are true, she sets out on a journey to find a way to protect her people.

Now, a quick update on The Arrival. That's a bit of an ironic name because Finals are arriving at my school. They begin tomorrow, to be exact. So while The Arrival is a little over half way done, I'll be unable to write much of it thanks to school. Rest assured, however, The Arrival will be out in mid-late-May! It's going to be on hell of a ride, and you all are going to love it. At least that's my hope!

That's all I've got for you this time. Talk to you soon!
Jay
